Resumo


The dawn of the fourth industrial revolution brings potential disruptive transformations in the human relations and organizational development. In particular, work social transformations will require systemic reflexive analysis about how systems thinking and associated practices can influence applied psychology and health. The objective of this work is to present a proposal of a systemic psychometrics approach with simulation, exemplified by an application for assessment of feeling of fatigue at work. Results provided insights for the selection of a cut score to define the presence of the latent trait (feeling of fatigue). At the same type, without cost of actual sampling, simulation alone tested and confirmed the non-significance of different pilot sample sizes. Findings add to the literature related to the integration of statistical analysis and computer simulation for the purpose of development and validation of assessment instruments.
